Do you have previous experience working with accounting in municipal or state-owned companies? Are you interested in supporting as a consultant during periods when organizations need reinforcement? We at Randstad are currently looking for candidates for future needs with clients in the public sector in Gothenburg!

We are looking for you who are a specialist in accounting and have experience in handling complex financial processes. The role of an accounting consultant means that you independently or in a team manage the ongoing financial work, from bookkeeping to year-end closing and reporting. Your experience with state or municipal accounting is of great importance, as many of our clients operate within this sector. We value your ability to be structured, meticulous, and a quick problem solver.

Responsibilities

• work in financial systems (for example, Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• work with accounting and bookkeeping (for example, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, cash and bank reconciliations)
• budget work
• produce reports on financial results and perform analyses regarding results and year-end closing
• participate in budget follow-up
• work with reconciliations, troubleshooting, and controls
• work with year-end closing and period-end closing.
• work with annual financial statements

Qualifications

Requirements:

• university degree in finance or equivalent education and at least three (3) years of work experience from similar work. Alternatively, equivalent education in the relevant field and five (5) years of work experience as an accounting economist
• good knowledge of MS Office or equivalent
• good knowledge of common accounting systems (for example, Unit 4 ERP, Raindance, Visma, etc.)
• experience in state or municipal accounting
• ability to communicate fluently in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
